1.1 The BPK I 200-12/35-(9-25)Z dry-type vacuum on-load tap-changer (from now on referred to as the on-load tap-changer) is a device for adjusting the tap position of the coils of a dry-type transformer when the transformer is operated in the state of excitation or loading, i.e. for changing the transformer ratio.
1.2 The on-load tap-changer operation is based on the principle of fast switching with a single resistance transition and uses vacuum switching tubes for the diverter switch contacts.
1.3 The on-load tap-changer is suitable for use with arcing coils with a maximum equipment voltage of 12 kV, a maximum rated through-current of 200 A, and a rated frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
a. The installation place should be free of serious explosive gas and conductive dust for indoor installation and use.
b. Apply in the air temperature is not higher than 40 ºC, not lower than -25 ºC.
c. The altitude of the working point is ≤1000m above sea level.
d. Air relative humidity ≤95%.
e. Vertical mounting with mounting holes only at the bottom of the switch and temporary lifting holes at the top.
f. The user must take effective measures to prevent condensation and icing on the on-load tap-changer.
